Fedora compatibility

I would like to install F19 beside my Linux Mint Maya. Does anyone know if they will sit side by side or will Fedora overwrite the whole Linux partition? Thanks in advance as I have heard conflicting stories.

The installer will do what you tell it to do. If you tell it to touch Mint's partition, it will. If not, it won't.
AFAIK there is no such thing as "side by side on the same partition".
If you didn't plan ahead and create enough partitions, you have some repartitioning to do. Take a backup then boot up GParted. Or blow it all away and start from scratch.

I did not mean same partition..that would create problems. I have heard that Fedora will install, but having done so,Mint is sometimes impossible to find. I have had Fedore sitting comfortably with XP and I wondered if it will sit (on a separate partition) with Mint. Thanks

I don't see why it wouldn't work. grub is smart. And if not, you can always fix it.
