fedora and tv configuration

I just switched to fedora core 3 and want to watch TV. I have smarttv stereo TV card + tvtime and xawtv installed. with tvtime channel scanning does not work, xawtv should have scantv, but i can`t find it. I verified that xawtv recognizes my tvcard, and it has bttv drivers installed. My tvcard worked fine with mandrake so problem is in software.
