Fedora 8 Updater
 

I have noticed that recently my Software updater is not reciving updates. how can i check to make sure it is doing what it is supposed to.to test that it is in fact reaching the right servers for updating. any help would be great.

I assume the updater is based on yum, so I'd try a manual update with yum. As root in a terminal session,

#yum update

where # is root's prompt.

Fedora has not had any updates since August 12 when the servers was hacked. According to post in Fedora Forums.Org updates should be coming back on line any day now.
