Fedora-8 checking all the devices while booting
I am tring to install fedora-8 as a guest os in vmware. When it comes to disk initialization and partitioning it is checking all the devices i.e /dev/sda, /dev/sdab, /dev/sdac, /dev/sdb etc... and it is continuing till /dev/sdz and reporting of no access to them. I have cancelled all those and proceeded with the installation. While booting after loading the vmlinuz and initrd it is again checking the same thing. How do i disable this. I have not seen this type of problem in any of the os.
