fedora 5 yum update fail and system crashed

Hi,

I ran the yum update on fedora core and installed 2.6.17-r1

after te update i received the following error:

> PCI: BUIS Bug: MCFG area is not E820-reserved
> PCI: Not using MMCONFIG

I ran the update on a HP dc7600u, I tried to boot from a previous kernel however the system crashed and my bios was wiped !

I couldn't flash build the bios so had to get the pc replaced - the problem I now have is running the udate again and the same issue occuring.

anyone have any idea's how to resolve this issue?

Many Many Thanks

Chris

I also found the following info:

> PCI: BUIS Bug: MCFG area is not E820-reserved
> PCI: Not using MMCONFIG

I posted this today. Please test. It is less picky and will print
the address of the MMCONFIG area if it fails.
