Fedora 21 server will not run after install on Dell r410 Poweredge

I have a used Dell PowerEdge R410 with two Intel Xeon E5520 quad core processors running at 2.27ghz, 8 gb memory, SAS6 raid controller card and 500gb disk. Fedora 21 server installed without any error messages. At completion it asked for a reboot to be used the first time. On reboot however (and subsequent reboots) it will post and bring me to the point where I can start Fedora or it will start automatically after (x) seconds. When this process starts, I get a black screen and a blinking cursor.
After a few reboots with the same result I thought I was being impatient and that it was just setting itself up. I then rebooted and left my office and watched a movie! No change. It never goes any farther than this. Can I/should I disable the raid controller? Any help would be appreciated.

Wonder if it is the video? Boot to safe video maybe and remove your graphic driver?

Can re-boot to live media and see if the data can be seen. In some cases the /boot partition could be too high in the drive but I'd doubt this is the case.

Jefro,
I changed the SATA setting in bios from raid to ATA and it now starts up fine. Thanks for getting back to me though.

I didn't see that.

Thanks for the update and solution.

Can't imagine it could be a faux raid controller.
