fedora 12 deos not read CDs from DVD drive
 

hello , am new in fedora 12. My dvd drive reads and writes dvd s ok but can't read or even recognize CDs.says"unknown format,format not supported".this did not happened when I used windows. Do I ned to install some additional s/w for the sloution? plz help.

libiso9660
libdvdread
udftools

If you install some CD application(s), it should grab most of that as a dependency.

fedora dose NOT ship with ANY proprietary code, none,nada,nothing.

install the rpmfusion repo
