fcron fails to run jobs

I am trying to run updatedb with a cron job using fcron, but it always fails.

So I thought I would try to run something else, in this case Dillo, but that fails too.
Code:
Mar 11 22:16:00 [fcron] Job /usr/bin/updatedb &>/var/tmp/udb_error started for user root (pid 12483)
Mar 11 22:16:00 [fcron] Job /usr/bin/updatedb &>/var/tmp/udb_error terminated (exit status: 1) (mailing output)
...
Mar 11 22:32:00 [fcron] Job updatedb --prunepaths="/mnt /proc /dev" started for user root (pid 12810)
Mar 11 22:32:00 [fcron] Job updatedb --prunepaths="/mnt /proc /dev" terminated (exit status: 1) (mailing output)
...
Mar 11 23:04:00 [fcron] Job /usr/bin/dillo started for user root (pid 13531)
Mar 11 23:04:00 [fcron] Job /usr/bin/dillo terminated (exit status: 1) (mailing output)
I ran fcron in the foreground with debugging on but there was no further information, and the mailed output simply repeated what is written here.

I get the feeling I am missing something simple and/or obvious as I can't find anyone else with this problem.

Any ideas?

Thanks for the reply, but I have given up on it.

I removed fcron, installed vixie-cron and now everythings fine.
