FC6: after having installed Sun's JRE6, my OD files are shown as archives

FC6(2.6.18) with Gnome.

I've installed Sun JDK 6, and now my Open document files (ods,odw,odt..) are shown as jar archives.

The main (and silly) problem I've got is that every time I double click onto them, I got a security message, saying that "file foo.od* seems a Open Document Whatever, but it is, in fact, a JAR archive......." or something like this, and it doesn't get opened.

If I run file it answer properly, saying that they are open document files, while gst-findtype says they're "application/zip MIME type".

I tried to rebuild xml MIME specifications for gstreamer, but it didn't change.

Changing the association between file types and default applications (now it's file-roller or jar ) doens't work, and I can't remove them from the list either.

What should I do?

Thanks for your attention

Do you have the openoffice.org-javafilter rpm package installed??

Did you configure Sun's SDK for use with/alongside the compat java stuff (see my post #6):

Hi lenard, nice to see you.

I should correct thread title: the problem regards now all the archives, which appear as java-like archives.

I installed java-filter for OO, and java-sun-compat from JPackage.org, which automatically performs those operations you listed in your previous post, and I've done alternatives as well.

Unfortunately, nothing changed... I updated gstreamer as well.

Edit: I've found this: http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view...bug_id=6510610
