FC5 install problem with Firebird

I need to get firebird setup on an FC5 system to support AVG's network server.

I have downloaded both the SS and CS versions and they both won't let me change the default sysdba password.

I have confirmed the server tasks are running.

When I run the changeDBAPassword.sh script it reports:

Your user name and password are not defined. Ask your database administrator to setup a Firbird login.
unable to open database

:study: Everything I have found on a web search has talked about Windows and didn't come close to applying to Linux.

The frustrating part is that I got the CS to work on another FC4 machine.

Any help?

Happened to see a post on the Firebird News group that the RPMs setup with a random generated password and these errors are from a command line password mismatch. Out of shear luck I tried the password stored in FIREBIRD.password and I could set the new password. It changed FIREBIRD.password to a scrambled version.
