Thumbs down FC3 NVidia UT2004 problem

(first post, so urls are without http and www prefixes)

Hi,

I am trying to get Unreal Tournament 2004 working on Fedora Core 3, but I have some problems. I have the newest kernel available installed, and the latest NVidia driver also. I even patched the driver (nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=42964) and read the thread on linuxquestions (linuxquestions.org/questions/archive/33/2005/01/3/277970), but this is all no solution.

I can start the game, and I can also play it, but it crashes after some time. X keeps running, and I can start UT again immediately, so I think it is a driver problem.

Starting the game from shell gives me the following errors:
WARNING: ALC_EXT_capture is subject to change!
Xlib: extension "XiG-SUNDRY-NONSTANDARD" missing on display ":0.0".

And after playing online a little, and the following crash, my shell gives:
Resolved ut2004master1.epicgames.com -> 207.135.145.6
Connection established.
center pointSignal: SIGSEGV [segmentation fault]
Aborting.

Does anyone have a solution for this???

I got this fixed, but I'm still not sure what the solution was.

I installed the latest UT 2004 patch, and a new NVidia driver, and after that all problems where gone. I think it was the driver...
