FC11 Evolution freezes
Since moving from FC10 to FC11, I find Evolution freezes frequently for about 30 seconds at a time while creating or replying to a message. It also takes about the same length of time to complete the 'Saving to folder' process when I click Send. I am not seeing this behaviour with any other applications. The only other glitch involving a freeze of some kind that I have found is the unpredictable loss of communication with my bluetooth mouse, but I expect these are two quite distinct conditions. Any help would be appreciated, as sending emails is driving me slowly nuts. I have Googled this problem and tried fedoraforum.org without turning up anything similar, or getting any hints.
Cheers, Doug.
Are you updating regularly ? .. I'm running Fed 11 and using Evolution every day, the only problem I have at the moment is the notification daemon crashing after telling me there's a new email. Your problem may not be Evolution itself .. try checking the debug logs - Help >> Debug logs

Hi kbp and thanks for the reply.
Yes, I update regularly and the problem has tracked through every update. The debug logs are clear - no entries at all. Setup is FC11 in a Lenovo T61 laptop. Had no problems under FC10.
If so, you could try adding your hostname to the end of the 127.x... line, it's only a very vague 'name resolution' possibilty though. I hit the 'slow sudo' bug and had to add my fqdn to the end of ipv4 line in /etc/hosts

Go to the top of the class!!
After adding my fqdn to the 127.0.0.1 line in /etc/hosts and then rebooting, I can no longer freeze Evolution. Also, sudo was very slow at first - I had not really taken any notice of it the few times I used it. After the reboot, sudo responded immediately. On restart after the change to /etc/hosts, Bluetooth was disabled. After re-enabling, it works OK, although it has gone to sleep once already. As mentioned in a previous post, I think this is a totally separate problem.
Thanks for your kind assistance.
