faxing

I am running Suse 9.2 and have an external modem that is configured properly in fact I am on the internet right now because it is working. I tried to install capisuite, sendfax, mgetty, hylafax but must be doing something terribly wrong, because they do not seem to be on my machine at all. I am not sure what questions to ask but I know I need help. I send and receive 4 - 5 faxes per week and don't want to reboot to win xp to do this please give me some guidance.

Can you be more specific on what is the problem?
Is it because no fax programs run? Or sending/receiving
thru a fax program? Or what? I doubt I can help, but
more details will help everybody else.

P.s., explain

I tried to install capisuite, sendfax, mgetty, hylafax but must be doing something terribly wrong, because they do not seem to be on my machine at all.

I used yast to install the applications mgetty sendfax etc but I do not seem to be able to find them I know must have to configure them or something but I don't know how. I don't even know what questions to ask If given directions I can follow them. but they must be specific because I have been a mouse pointer way to long. Iwill learn to use the command line but need time and help to do this.
