Fatal signal: Segmentation Fault (SDL Parachute Deployed)

Hi there, i'm running Debian 3.1 kernel 2.6.11.7 Pentium 4 1,7GHz, 512 DDR, Asus P4S333-M and Creative GeForce 4 Ti4600 and i get constant Fatal signals whilst playing games like Soldier of Fortune I & S.C.O.U.R.G.E. This is pretty damn neat. Anyone aware of how to fix this problem?

Fatal signal: Segmentation Fault (SDL Parachute Deployed)

I have tried to reinstall both SDL and games (root and user) - no effect.

my SDL packages (sources from sarge main non-free contrib):
avis@shrooms:~% dpkg --get-selections | grep sdl
libsdl-gfx1.2 install
libsdl-image1.2 install
libsdl-mixer1.2 install
libsdl-net1.2 install
libsdl-sound1.2 install
libsdl-sound1.2-dev install
libsdl-ttf2.0-0 install
libsdl1.2-dev install
libsdl1.2debian install
libsdl1.2debian-all install

Try running it under GDB and when it fails, use the "bt" command to see a backtrace of the crash.
