At exactley what point did you get this message, during install, after reboot? And what version of RedHat?

isajera 08-08-2001 03:14 PM

personally, i'd like just once to see a computer go down screaming.

vicente 08-08-2001 09:53 PM

itīs before start the instalation when he read all paks of the cd

vicente 08-08-2001 09:55 PM

it is red hat 7.1v

trickykid 08-09-2001 07:14 AM

Never heard of that error, Redhat has nothing on its site about that particular error that I found. My only suggestion at this point is to try a text install if your doing a graphical install. Also, what type of install are you trying? A custom, desktop, server?

vicente 08-09-2001 03:14 PM

i was on graf. and workstation

AAAAIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEE!!

Did you really mean to type "SCREAMS", or are you asking about the "FATAL ERROR: NO SCREENS FOUND" message that can accompany a failed X configuration? The point at which you say the error occurs is about where the install would try to detect and configure your video card and monitor, so I'd suspect that's really what you're seeing.

trickykid 08-09-2001 10:49 PM

so what happens if you do a text based install, and if that doesn't work, maybe a custom install instead of the workstation?
