Unhappy failure while upgrading libgda

I ha ve the libgda package "libgda-1.0.4-3", but I need to upgrade it for another application.
So i found this package : libgda-1.2.0-1.
see what happened when I tried to install it:

[geo@geo-e Desktop]$ rpm -i libgda-1.2.0-1.i386.rpm
warning: libgda-1.2.0-1.i386.rpm: V3 DSA signature: NOKEY, key ID e01260f1
error: Failed dependencies:
db is needed by libgda-1.2.0-1.i386

SO i tought that I should install the db package as it was not installed, but see what happens when I tried to do so:

[geo@geo-e Desktop]$ rpm -i db-4.2.52-6.i386.rpm
warning: db-4.2.52-6.i386.rpm: V3 DSA signature: NOKEY, key ID e01260f1
error: can't create transaction lock

Can anyone help me to understand what it means, and how to upgrade the libgda package?
