Question Facebook watchman not working?


Hi guys ,

Iam recently installed watchman from the source using this method https://codeyarns.com/2015/02/10/how...-use-watchman/. It's the opensource project from facebook to watch folder to monitoring the changes.

When i set the folder for watch by using following command

watchman watch foldername
, Its Returns The following

Then i create somefile to check watchman. Acccording to above link watchman create log file in /tmp directory in the name of .watchman.yourusername.log

But there is no log file is created.Please guide me solve this problem

did you run a test by making changes by whatever means necessary to that file / folder you're watching to see if it is actually working, or just set it up to work, and thought it'd create a log file as a direct result of what you did?

The user limit on the total number of inotify watches was reached; increase the fs.inotify.max_user_watches sysctl
All requests will continue to fail with this message until you resolve
the underlying problem. You will find more information on fixing this at
https://facebook.github.io/watchman/...tify-add-watch

I got this error from my log file of watchman

Ok...so did you go to that page, READ IT, and TRY what it suggested??? It tells you how to resolve the problem.
