Question F-PROT (anitvirus) questions?

I have f-prot and i have setup with cron to automatically update its definitions, thanks to the great instructions on there website. My question is, I am tring to automate scans of certian sections of my filesystem, then email the findings to root. In cron i set up and added to the /etc/cron.daily, a file called /f-prot-home containg this: "f-prot -archive -dumb -append -report=/var/log/f-prot /home." I also setup a logfile called /var/log/f-prot. I tested the accual command and it does write the output the the logfile. But am tring to find out how can i email this report to root? Or will it already do this since its in /etc/cron.daily? or am i going about this wrong?

Thanks in advance,
Greg M.
