extreme tux racer keyboard, stability, rendering issue fedora 10
Ok, I am a fan of the ppracer/extreme tux racer because it is relaxing and fun.
I installed it on my Fedora machine today. I went into settings, and fixed the video so it was at a higher resolution, and looked at the keyboard controls, and realized, "ooh look! there's a 'trick' key!"
when I started a new game, I could not turn left. DX
I looked at the keyboard configuration, and found the field for turning left was blank. So was the field for breaking. I clicked on the field for left turn, and pressed left. Then, it ever so kindly put a mysterious misshapen BOX where it's supposed to say, "left" I did the same thing for the break key, reassigning it to "down" and got the box again. this only happens for those two keys, as far as I know. I could still not turn left. I looked at the keyboard config again, and both the turn left and break fields were blank again! What on earth am I supposed to do?
I also had a problem with rendering. I can't render the snow or ice texture, nor the weather button things, nor most of the image previews for the courses without getting a black bar, distortion, and lots of irritating colored specks.
Furthermore, it crashes loading half the courses.
I have no idea what is up with this game, but I need lots of help.
