Extracting Sendmail

This is probably the stupidiest question I have asked yet, however, I cannot figure it out!!!

I have downloaded the lastest version of sendmail from I cannot extract it. When I do, I get an error saying that there are no files to extract. I read somewhere that I need to verify the code using the pgp file. I've done that, but I get the error that pgp cannot check signature because no public key can be found. I have also download the pgp key from the same web site. Help please
