External Disk and RAID storage probe
 

Hello,

I want to know how to probe external disk or RAID storage devices in Linux after adding
new storage to an existing FC or SCSI HBA and be able to detect the devices with fdisk
without rebooting the system.

My OS can either be SuSe 9.0, SuSe 10, or redhat-4.
