Question Ext4 is it ready yet to the home use?

I want to install the testing release of debian and I want to format my filesystem to ext4 but I dont know how much is it stable, I heard at the news that its so powerful but its hard for me to format my drive so much times.

And what is the best way to try this Ext4 do I use system rescue CD or parted magic live CD or what I would use to format my drive?

I would wait. They appear to have made a whole lot of changes to ext4 in the latest kernel.
