Exporting path to bashrc

Hi all,
I installed Gnuradio on f17. At the end it is showing
you should probably set your Pythonpath to:
/usr/local/....
using:
export PYTHONPATH=/usr/local/....
in your .bashrc or equivalent file prior to attempting to run any Gnu Radio applications
Does it mean I have to edit bashrc file.
How can i find it.

Please suggest

Regards
Fabe

Every user has their own local shell variables that get set with one or more profile files located in their home directory. Usually named .bash_profile and .bashrc. You can simply edit the .bashrc located in your users home directory and add the following line to the bottom:

Code:
export PYTHONPATH=/usr/local/..

Check out your "man bash", specifically the INVOCATION section, to see which files it loads on start-up.

In general, there will be a /etc/bashrc (or similarly-named file) for global settings (controlled by the root maintainer), and a personal ~/.bashrc that individual users can use to add to or override the globals.
