Exit in Linux/Minix

I had a small question. Can anybody tell me where the 'exit' shell command that we use to exit a shell is defined? I know that exit system call which exits a process is defined in <unistd.h>. Any help is appreciated. I am actually working on a project where I need to do some computation when a user exits from his shell.

I tried to find it in Linux and Minix kernels as well, but could not find in any file.
