exfat reliability?

Anyone used exfat much? Has it been reliable? I was basically uploading a large file from a USB FD. I Ctrl-C'd the upload a few times and resumed a few times. The last time I tried to resume the file was *GONE*. I unmounted and remounted and exfat complained about a bad dismount. I basically reformatted copied the file onto it again and resumed.

Okay I see exfat supports noatime. I also mounted with ro now for good measure.

I use exfat on my phones sd-cards and a couple usb drives. I've never had issues with it personally, but don't do anything super exotic with it, just store music to listen to on my machines, in my car, and at the gym (over 50 GB of mp3's all legal, so no using up my data streaming).

I've used it somewhat. I only use it to inter operate with windows. Never had an issue so far.
