Welcome to LQ.

Suggest : install with the package manager instead.
# yum install synce-sync-engine
# apt-get install synce-sync-engine
sudo apt-get install synce-sync-engine,
all depending on the OS.

You really must tell, which Linux is used, when a question is asked.
Name and version, please.
