Question "exception error" during yellow dog installation...

yellow dog 5.0.2 installation on an iMac G4 700MHZ, installation was going well, until i got an "exception occurred" popup window. It goes like this:
-------------------------------------------------
"Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/bin/anaconda", line 1180, in ?
intf.run(id, dispatch)"

and goes on for a few more lines.
I get the following options, OK & Debug.
-------------------------------------------------
How can get around this? I'd really appreciate it if someone took the time to explain what it could mean...Bcus i have tried lots and still couldn't figure it out...Thanx.

That error summary is not very useful. If the error mentions anything about existing partitions, simply back up the drive and blank out the partition table and install fresh (not upgrade).
