Excellent website software
 

I'm setting up a website, but the software that came with the hosting doesn't really meet my needs. So I'm interested in some software just for running the site (I'm not planning on running a server or anything) that is linux compatible and has a lot of options to choose from to create a very professional image. It needs to be gui, easy to use. Do you know of some good software that might be suitable?

There are loads of proprietary content management systems around, but assuming you want OSS, something like e107 or Drupal should be fine. I would personally recommend Drupal. It has all sorts of free modules and templates that you can add to the system.
