Excellent Reference For Those Dual Booters

I have obtained some information that some of the linux noobs may find useful. I am a noob as well so do not take it as an insult. If you have recently setup a dual boot with linux operating systems and windows xp this may be for you.

I recently decided I was going to change linux os because I am trying to find the one which fits me. I booted to windows deleted linux partition and formated... I then rebooted and noticed that GRUB was still trying to load and I could not get to windows. After a little research I found this solution to completely rebuild your boot sector/mbr. Below is the solution to repair:

1st - Boot To Windows Disk.
2nd - Open Repair Consol 'R'
3rd - Select OS Which Is Usuall Number "1. C:\Windows"
4th - If You Have Admin Password Type It In And Hit [ENTER]
5th - Now You Are In Repair Console Under (C)
6th - Type: fixboot [ENTER] Type: Y [ENTER]
7th - Type: fixmbr [ENTER] Type: Y [ENTER]

Congratulations, You Have Repaired Boot, Now If Things Went Smoothly You Can Now Get To Windows
