evolution stopped working - "CORBA" exception
I have been using evolution without probs, and today it won't work!!
not really sure why. when I try to execute evolution from the console I get: le@linux:~> evolution evolution-shell-WARNING **: CORBA exception IDL:GNOME/Evolution/Shell/NotReady:1.0 when requesting URI -- evolution:/summary (I have recently installed MozilaFirebird, Java, & Macromedia flash & have been playing with printer settings) any advice most appreciated |
works fine when I reboot.
however crashes when I exit having deleted an email, hangs at "Evolution is exiting". then won't work again until reboot thankfully I'm just testing evolution and use Kmail for my main work, which is absolutely fine |
In RH 9, I get that cobra thing often when running Gnome programs, especially Nautilus. It has become such a problem that I use KDE insead..

I had this problem too.
the command daf73@DAFlinux:~> evolution --force-shutdown fixed it |
