Question Evolution email problem

Hey,

I've been using Evolution for the past few of years, and overall, I like it. However, there is a recurring problem that's been bothering me.

I leave certain emails on the server in case I need to access them from someone else's computer (away from home, etc.). There are approximately 200 of these "saved" emails on my mail server.

Here's the problem. Every once in a while, evolution resends ALL of these emails to my computer. It happened just this morning. I then need to delete 200+ emails from my computer. I use Thunderbird on a different machine and it's never happened on that computer, so I'm assuming it's an Evolution thing, and NOT something going on with the mail server itself.

Anyone else experiencing this, and if so, how are dealing with it?

TIA

Tomlin

I use a webmail server (gmail) and Tbird as a pop3 client. In such a situation I would move your 200 saved emails on the server to another folder (not the inbox). I assume that your mail server can do this and that you are only downloading the inbox to your local machine and not every folder on the mail server. Is that a plan?
cheers,
jdk
