Evolution Email Problem

Hi everyone, I have a question that I am not able to find a solution too on my own. I have three computers 1-400mhz machine I built years ago and is now running smoothwall and dealing with my high speed connection to Bell Sympatico. 2-800mhz dell dimension running FC10, set up to be a server but I have never done anything with it. 3-2.8GHZ Dell Dimension setup as a dual boot machine. Last week windows was really pissing me off and when I tried to reinstall the OS for some reason my Ghosted image on my drive was corrupt and so there it sat with no usable OS. So I installed FC10 and later when got the software for Winxp set it up as a duel boot machine and making the switch to use linux as my main desktop now and only useing Windows for Solidworks and Photoshop. My problem is with Evolution, Last year Bell upgraded there email servers in my area and now the login has changed a little bit. What I can't figure out is how to change ports. Pop3 was port110 and now has to be 995 and Smtp has to be 25. I can't find a option or setting to change these values like in Outlook Express 2003. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I've used linux for years but never really had to mess around under the hood and have been pretty lucky at finding really good Howtos up until now. Any advice would be appreciated as I am sure it's an easy fix for the more experienced users. SJ

Setting up Evolution

Use the Secure Connection "ssl" in the account server settings for both POP and SMTP and they will be set to the correct ports.

If the email is already installed go to Edit -> Preferences -> Mail Accounts -> Receiving Mail configuration (pop) Sending mail configuration for smtp. Set the Security setting to SSL and you're there.

enjoy!

Thanks fewclues, Now am able to receive emails but for some reason still can't send any. I get a "connection timed out" error. I triple checked my settings for send and they are right now using SSL. I checked Bell's status page and they say all there email systems are up and running. Could it be a firewall problem? FC10 install was pretty much done with default settings and I dont know if a firewall was installed. Maybe I should go back and setup outlook express just to make sure its not Bell screwing up somehow... SJ
