evince doesn't print PDF files correctly

When i use evince to print out a PDF file, i get the following error, to the standart output:
Code:

** (evince:6939): WARNING **: failed request with status 200

(evince:6939): GnomePrintCupsPlugin-WARNING **: iconv does not support ppd character encoding: ISOLatin1, trying CSISOLatin1

This implies, that it is somehow impossible to print in ISOLatin1 encoding, which is totally ridigulous, because that is de-facto the standart encoding...

When i print out PDF's with KPdf or XPdf, they come out fine...

The errormessage tells me something about iconv, but i couldn't manage to make it work...

I updatet to the latest version of evince, but that didn't solve the problem.

Please people, tell me what to do!

Not that i have to use evince, but I'd like to know how to solve that kind of printing problems.

Thanks in advance,
