Everybuddy Install help- Or help fix an annoying Kopete problem
 

Running Xandros 4.0

OK, first with the Kopete problem. My friend, when I send her an IM, it always comes up in Font 8. My font is set to 14. Every so oftne, it will pop up in 14, but only for 1 line. Bold/Italics/Underline etc, seem to work fine. Font size however, will not change, no matter what its set to on my PC. I thought she was crazy, but she took a screen capture and sent it to me,and is telling the truth. She's using AOL and Win XP, if that matters. Font 8 is just to hard to read for her. In case I wasn't clear, when I type in Font 14, it shows in 14 on my PC, then goes to Font 8 on hers.


Now for my Everybuddy problem.

I downloaded the RPM from http://www.rpmfind.net/linux/rpm2htm...submit=Search+...

I installed the i386 version if it matters. However, I uninstalled the i386, and installed the i586, with the same result, if that matters.

I double clicked the RPM, Xandros Networks converted it to a .deb file, and reports that it was installed successfully. I do a search, and it shows Everybuddy is installed. However, I can't find it in my Launch menu, etc. When I do a File search of "/" for "Everybuddy" I come up with 3 hits.

usr/share/doc/
usr/X11R6/bin/
usr/X11R6/share/sounds

None of which shows any sort of launch file(that I know of).

Thanks in advance for any help on either problem. The Font problem is my biggest problem w/ Kopete. I installed GAIM, but when I try to start it, I just get an hourglass for 20sec and then it crashes.

Edit: BTW, any help, will need to be in "stupid-eese", as I'm still learning. :)
