Event processing engine/framework

Hello all,

I need your help, maybe someone knows something…
I am searching for an engine/tool/library that does event processing, something like Coral8, esper…, but I need one that is developed with C/C++ and has a free license.

Thank you,
Simona

Far too vague a question. What kind of events? From where?

Gtk+ is a toolset that handles a GUI, which ordinarily would be event driven. Is that what you want? Qt does the same thing.

Beyond that, this is what C or C++ or the Linux kernel does; provide the means to capture events and respond to them. The kernel uses interrupts and signals, and of course the programming languages let you do things when those events occur.

The problem is that I don't have clear requirements… but an example of event could be sensor data. I will not have any GUI, the events could come from different sources (network, sensors…). Probably for each source of event I will have an adapter.

I am searching for an engine/framework that does the basic complex event processing and that I could adapt for my needs with not so much effort.
