evbug.c flooding /var/log/messages w/ mouse movements, help!
hi, I'm using root-portal to monitor /var/log/messages on my desktop, and the file is tracking my mouse & keyboard movements. the exact line is:
Jan 20 09:07:35 cloak evbug.c: Event. Dev: isa0060/serio0/input0, Type: 1 Code: 0 Value: 0 the line repeats over and over and over, different codes for different things (272 is a left-click, 14 is a backspace). while this is a little amusing, the /var/log/messages log is flying by as I type, and I'd rather see more important stuff. |
if I rmmod evbug, the flood stops, and /var/log/message claims 'disconnected device'. however I can type and move my mouse fine....
what is evbug and evdev? |
Hi I was having your same problem earlier tonight, and after doing a ton of searching on this website llamakc had a post that corrected it. Basically all you have to do is recompile your kernel and turn Event debugging off.
