Hi,I've installed Knoppix 3.3 on my notebook Asus L5380 but I've a problem with my eth0..
I don't know exactly who model is and if it work with linux.
If you know where I can find driver for linux e how to install it,pls answer me.

You may need to post more information. Like is it an internal pci card or some sort of external adapter. Also what is it normally plugged into (like mine is internal pci card that then plugs to a router/modem via a 8 port hub), because if it's something like that then you would just config the eth 0 using the IP address of the router.

also, is you service provider giving you a static or dynamic IP address (static is probably easier to set up if you plug the ethernet device straight into a modem - dynamic often need's "dhcp" to work).

In fact, what type of connection/modem are you using, as there are differences between the setup that you would use for dsl and cable, or dial up?

Asus doesn't seem to list any information on specs for an L5380 motherboard. What I would do first is check for specifications on the Ethernet card on the laptop manufacturer's website. They should have information on the exact make and model of ethernet card or ethernet chipset on the motherboard. Once you know that, then you can verify whether Knoppix has drivers for that card or not. If not, then you'll need to find the driver for that card and get it onto the Knoppix CD.
