eth0 --- floating point expeption
Okey, redhat 9.
Just after the bootloader - the services (?) screen pops up - with all they [ OK ] . Is there an actual name for this screen ? Anyway: Bringing up interface on eth0, it fails. floating point expertion /sbin/dhcpclient its a little longer than that, but I only get about 2 seconds to take note of the message, it took me 7 reboots to get that. Any idea's ? I've seen in another similar networking topic to post the results of ' ifup eth0 ' . Im in windowz atm, so ill post it as a reply in a few seconds if that helps. |

Please, I need desperate help with this.... If there isnt a solution - is there way to reset all network settings ? |
Have you had a look in your syslog file and/or you messages file? There may be additional details on the error in one of those. Try the dmesg command to see your syslog. If nothing else, it beats rebooting repeatedly to try and find errors.
Now I'm going to admit that I have no clue as to why this problem is happening. I suppose you could try taking the card down and then back up and see if that helps ifconfig eth0 down ifconfig eth0 up |
