/etc/fstab LABEL

HellO...
after remade a /home partition in /etc/fstab it wont accept the entry

LABEL=/home anymore like the rest of fstab entries ...

LABEL=/ / ext3 defaults 1 1
LABEL=/boot /boot ext3 defaults 1 2
none /dev/pts devpts gid=5,mode=620 0 0
/dev/hda2 /home ext3 defaults 1 2
none /proc proc defaults 0 0
none /dev/shm tmpfs defaults 0 0
LABEL=/tmp /tmp ext3 defaults 1 2
LABEL=/usr /usr ext3 defaults 1 2
LABEL=/var /var ext3 defaults 1 2
/dev/hda5 swap swap defaults 0 0
/dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom udf,iso9660 noauto,owner,kudzu,ro 0 0
/dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy auto noauto,owner,kudzu 0 0

I had to add it /dev/hda2
why is that ..?

any ideas...?

The label is the partition label and the chances are that your last partition was named /home. To be honest I would stay way from labels and just use device names. They do have advantages but for me they just cause more problems than they solve.

#e2label device <new_label>
so i did
#e2label /dev/hda2 /home
then fixed /etc/fstab
