Errors Installing winex using cvs script

I haven't had much luck with this. Also I am new to winex. I'm running knoppix from hard drive with kernel 2.4.26. Just hoping that there is someone who has had a similar problem, I did google with the begining of the terminal output and got limited hits. Here is the terminal output:

getstablewinex.sh - Progress(u) : Green is current

0 = Uninstall
1 = Cleanup
2 = CVS checkout
3 = Configure
4 = Make depend
5 = Make
6 = Make install
7 = Finish up

Error in Make

Try fixing the error based on the output above, and
run the script again, without paramaters (Eg: getstablewinex.sh)

Thanks in advance for any help.

Update I installed flex-old with apt-get because some threads said this might be the answer-however I just get the same error log as above. I'm guessing from the searches I have done that this is another dead end.
However if anyone has a solution to this I'll be willing to try it. Thanks
