error while executing nam in ns2.34 on ubuntu 10.04


Hello friends

i have installed ns2.34 . when i want to test following script see attachment

i have error
ns example1.tcl
ns: finish: couldn't execute "nam": no such file or directory
while executing
"exec nam out.nam &"
(procedure "finish" line 7)
invoked from within
"finish"
what is the reson
I run
cd ns-allinone-2.34/nam-1.14/
sudo make install
and it is working now.

sudo cp nam /usr/local/bin/

how to use this nam-1.14.i586

i have downloaded nam-1.14.i586.tar.gz . should i place it in main folder and then copy to usr/local/bin
