Error when trying to install Ubunto

1 Attachment(s)
I'm new to any form of Linux and haven't been able to find anything about this error.

I have a NEW Thinkserver TS-170 w/ 2 1-TB drives making a RAID1 drive.

When I start the install things seem to go fine until I get to the "world map screen"where I choose my timezone. This is where I get the error message that's just "???", I don't understand.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
David

Are you in the Eastern time zone? If yes, click OK and continue. If you are not in this time zone, click the map in the appropriate area, then OK and continue.

I can only guess why you got the ??? marks. You have not given us any information.

Is the correct time set in BIOS ? or GMT time in BIOS?

Thanks for the reply Cliff,

Yes, I,m in the Eastern Time Zone. I try to hit OK and that does nothing (waited 20 minutes) and the OK on the error message produce no results either.

Sorry for the lack of info, I don't even know WHAT you can use.

I set the correct time in the BIOS (checked it to be sure).

I've downloaded and burned another install disk from www.ubuntu.com in case there was a write error on the disk. I have also re-configured the RAID in cse something was wrong there.

What can I tell you that might help you, help me?

David

Hi...

From what I see here, this appears to be a RAID issue. Please see if the information there (along with the other linked pages) is able to help you. :)

Regards...
