error / stuck builing V4L-DVB device Drivers

I'm running a centos 6.7 32 bit command-line-only server and I'm trying to install V4L-DVB Device Drivers from here:
http://www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.ph...Device_Drivers but the build process stops at this error:
Code:
/media_build/v4l/compat.h:69: error: conflicting types for 'find_next_zero_bit'
I did a search on google but found very little and what I did find was hard to understand which was to patch a file but I don't know how to do that.
http://elrepo.org/bugs/bug_view_adva...php?bug_id=247
I know the file is /media_build/v4l/compat.h but I don't know where I'm supposed to put the text. Attached is the console scroll for the install process (v4l-build.txt). Thanks if anyone can help me get past this error.

File Type: txt v4l-build.txt (14.9 KB, 15 views)

You sure your setup won't work with drivers already in kernel sources?

not sure how to answer that, I'm trying to get a 3com homeconnect webcam to work in centos 6.7 but no joy yet, I thought it should show up as /dev/video0 but nothing shows up. var/log/messages shows it's aware a 3com camera has been connected but normally the log says something like 'registered new driver sos and so...' but it doesn't say that.
funny thing is the cam works fine in a centos 7 machine, it appears as dev/video0 but not in a centos 6 machine. This is why I thought I'd need the v4l install.[COLOR="Silver"]
