Error starting Unreal Tourn. 2004 Demo: "Couldn't set video mode..."

I just installed the Unreal Tournament 2004 Demo on Slackware 10 to ~/ut2004demo. The install went without error.

When I try to run ./ut2004demo I get the error:
The title splash screen comes up for a few seconds then I get the error:

And the game doesn't start. I'm using a GeForce 4 MX video card. Also I'm new to linux so try to keep it step by step :)

I know I'm not a mod.. but I'm bored atm.. :) shouldn't this post be in the games area? :-)

I thought it was more of a video problem then a game problem, and I didn't even know about the games forum. Any way it was a video problem, I needed the drivers (which I sucessfully did woot) anyway its working now.
