Error starting LCDd server

Compiled lcdproc-0.5.0 on Fedora Core 5 with CFontz driver no errors. But starting the server, LCDd, gives the following error. I assume it cannot find CFontz.so which is located in /usr/local/lib/lcdproc. Any help for my limited knowledge of Linux would be appreciated.

Could not open driver module CFontz.so: CFontz.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Driver [CFontz] binding failed
Could not load driver CFontz
There is no output driver

Do you have the line "/usr/local/lib" in /etc/ld.so.conf ? If not, you'll have to add it and run "ldconfig" as root. If it is, then the problem is something else. Were there any compile or install errors or warnings?

I found the problem. Added /etc/lib to the LCDd.conf file to point to the driver file.
