ERROR: SCR moves backwards : Remultiplex input??

Does anyone else have this problem and know the solution when using DVDAuthor to create a DVD from VOB files? How exactly do I re-multiplex the VOB file?? When I play each VOB file with XINE, they play perfectly. but when I go to create a DVD , I get this error. Please tell me what to enter....I'll fill in my VOB file names....Thanks!

Solved

I used avidemux2 and re-saved the movie with only the main audio track. I then took that clip to DEVEDE and made a DVD. Make sure you check off under MISC(Already in MPEG format). Worked for me. The problem was caused by too many audio tracks.

Another Way - SAVE YOURSELF the Headache!!

Balarabay, I was struggling with DVDAUTHOR on Linux Mint 17 for literally 28 hours straight. After wanting to pull my hair out, I tried an alternate software app with my videos, DeVeDe. It Worked MUCH better, configured, burned, NO problems.

The issue I faced was the "please remultiplex input" messages on about 80 video file clips. I tried FFMpeg to avi, to mpg, to mp4, I had Bombono transcode it, it failed EACH AND EVERY TIME. "Please Remultiplex Input"

I tried K3B - no luck (it doesn't format dvd's for burning, just burns already made directories).

I tried DVD Styler - it also uses DVDAUTHOR (which is apparently the problem).

FINALLY I stumbled upon DeVeDe NO ISSUES.

People in lots of forums gave lots of advice on how to code, convert, transcode, etc. to "FIX" the error. Just BYPASS it. Use DeVeDe.

For the love of God, don't break your head against the wall trying to making an error go away that doesn't want to leave. Just use another app that doesn't use the DVDAUTHOR because, in my case with my custom made video files, it just wouldn't work.

Now, DeVeDe is a little time consuming to set up. You have to add each video clip one by one to each title. While arduous, at least it works. And converts well. AND BURNS.

The drag and drop of other apps is nice, but they end up with errors and no DVD.

It's worth it. Use DeVeDe.

I hope someone else who is newbish / doesn't like to spend 28 hours with error messages finds this message and uses an alternative if they face the dreaded "please remultiplex input" error message from Hell, instead of wasting time, energy, and effort to "fix" your videos. Your videos ARE NOT the problem. That burning app is. Use a better one.
