error runnig hsfconfig

hi,
i installed the linuxant driver for my conexant modem but at the time
of hsfconfig this is the error message:
Warning: existing HSF modules found under /lib/modules/2.4.20-8/misc/
This package does not contain pre-built modules suitable for your system
Distribution: RedHat-9
Kernel arch: i686
Kernel version: linux-2.4.20-8
Trying to automatically re-compile the modules.
(this requires a C compiler and proper kernel sources to be installed)
Where is the linux source build directory that matches your running
kernel? /lib/modules/2.4.20-8/build" The cause of this problem is
usually a missing or misconfigured kernel source tree (and sometimes an
incorrect directory or symbolic link).
First, ensure that the proper kernel source and compiler packages from
your distribution vendor and/or the community are installed. The Linux
kernel can then be reconfigured by running "make menuconfig"nder the
kernel source directory (usually /usr/src/linux).and that CONFIG_SMP
("Symmetric multi-processing support" under presently designed to work
on single-processor machines.hen compile and install your new kernel
reboot the system using the new kernel, and re-run "hsfconfig".

first do uninstall the already install hsfmodem package and then try to install it.

second may be you have downloaded the source rpm which must be run in kernel source directory, if you don't have the kernel source the download the the .rpm for your distrobution from the driver site
