I am running Ubuntu NN 11.04 on an AMD64x2 system, all updates current. I am trying to install a Canon Pixma ip1800 printer with no success after many hours of trying. I have 2GB RAM, an NVIDIA 256GB graphics card and 1TB HD. 11.04 runs great, recognizes my scanner (a separate Canon 670U), but no matter what, I cannot get the software to install correctly, although other Ubuntu Forums have posted instructions. Below is my Terminal output. Can you assist with specific instructions to use. I have tried removing and re-installing packages with Synaptic Package Manager and commands in terminal with no success. Hi,

can you post at least one of the sites that you read for instructions? It is hard to guess what you did wrong.
However, the following lines indicate a typo:
My guess would be that you are actually supposed to type something like
But as I said, it would be easier if you linked one of the sites where you got those instructions from.
