Error message "Package has no installation candidate"

Hi,

I'm getting trouble installing different libraries on my Kubuntu Edgy.
For example:

"Package chmlib is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source
However the following packages replace it:
libchm1
E: Package chmlib has no installation candidate"

However, I cannot (or don't know how to) use libchml in order to install xchm.

I'm getting this annoying error message when I try to install also other packages, like kdelibs4_3.3.2-6.4_i386.deb (which I need for Krusader). I'm a bit puzzled, as I managed to install Krusader on my former Ubuntu, but not on Kubuntu (and both do start with a K, don't they? :) )

Thanks.

Is this the package you are referring to:

http://packages.debian.org/unstable/libdevel/libchm-dev
