error installing baghira rpm


can anyone tell me how to solve this problem....

well the answer i could give is that you need to install those packages too.... but you've deps for libstdc++ and libc so i think the actual problem has got to be that you don't know what the "64bit" stuff is about and you actually have a standrd 32bit system, inwhcih case find a normal 32bit x86 rpm not an x86_64 one.

i try a 32 bit rpm...

by the way, when you say 32bit or 64bit system, you mean the OS or the hardware, and can this be upgrade???

it's the type of CPU and motherboard you run.

ok.. so i run an AMD 3000+ on a notebook zv5434rs, dun kno if it is 32 or 64...
i've just look around but found not baghira 32bit, instead i've got
baghira-0.8-0.pm.0.i586.rpm.. u think itz the right one???

32bit is an assumed default, both cpu's and rpm's... 64bit stuff always boasts it's 64 bit.

Indeed the CPU you have can be 32bit or 64bit, or even a 32bit with 64bit extensions (hence the x86_64). But if you have a 64bit or 32bit with 64 bit extensions, you can install a 32bit os or x86_64 os. Depending on the os you installed, you make your package selection.

What I mean is, if you have a 32bit os installed on a 64bit CPU/motherboard, you will only be able to install 32bit applications. x86_64 applications can only be installed on x86_64 os or full 64bit os.

but what if my cpu is 32 and my os 64..
actually i'm running suse 10.1 under kde 3.5.1 i think..
